Ever wondered just how are hurricanes formed, and why hurricanes strike in certain areas? Well you have come to the
right spot.This webquest will help answer all those questions and more. The subjects covered are hurricane formation,and the Coriolis effect. This webquest is appropriate for grade levels 5 and 6.


Things you will learn


Your mission, is learning about hurricanes. At the completion of this mission, you will be able to answer the following questions:
How are hurricanes formed?
What
are the different categories of hurricanes and who came up with the category system? Why hurricanes look like pin-wheels from above?

How you will learn it


At the top of this page, there are links, which will guide you in this task. Start with the link titled "Learn About It". There will be several links from this page, for you to read and pictures of various stages of a hurricane. The link titled "Think" will have questions and activities to see how much you remember.The link titled "Tying" will tie it all together and be the end of your webquest. While this will conclude the webquest, it will not teach you everything about hurricanes, just give you a better knowledge than what you may already have.
